About Us

Torrens have been writing software to manage access and security in buildings since the late 1980s.

We have worked with a number of security hardware manufacturers since our first system which covered two major office blocks in the Brisbane CBD. For over 15 years we have been working with security controllers designed and manufactured by Genesis Electronics Australia P/L.

Our management software, Genie, is used in a wide range of different sizes of sites and buildings, ranging from the very small with less than 8 doors, to the very large with over 90 master panels integrated in a single system. Sites are located in Australia and a number of other countries in the Asia/Pacific region, and in Europe.

Genie has developed interfaces with a number of different third party systems to further support our customers.

We pride ourselves on writing quality software that is easy for users at different levels, and provides a flexible range of options for different customer needs.
